How Does My Agency Becoming a Referring Agency?

Answer Remember, becoming an authorized referring agency is a priviledge not a right - we pride ourselves on only working with agents that actively work one-on-one with their clients to ensure we are receiving requests for those truly in need.

We are always looking to develop new relationships that enable us to better serve families in our community. However, it is important that we qualify and maintain a personal relationship with the organizations that refer clients to us as we have a responsibility to our donors to serve those that are in need of the service we provide.

New agency membership is open to social service agencies and organizations, schools and government assistance programs within DuPage County. Below may be some requirements that will help demonstrate what is needed in order to become a new referring agency.

1. A pre-scheduled tour at our facility by representatives of the organization - including the individual responsible for approving future applicants by this organization. This pre-scheduled tour will also consist of an introduction to the services we provide and a training session on our online referral system.

2. Proof of 501(c)3 not-for-profit status.

3. Each referring agent must have a valid business email address (this will identify you in our system) and internet access. We do not accept personal email accunts such as Gmail, Yahoo, Aol, etc.

4. Each referring agent within your organization will be required to read and understand the referring agency agreement. The partner organization will be responsible for approving individual agents that will represent them.
