Leeanne McGrath, Founder
Leeanne founded Sharing Connections. She has devoted her life to her vision and works tirelessly to achieve her dream of building a self-sustaining organization. Leeanne has an extensive network of contacts covering a broad spectrum; from social service agencies, to churches, to schools and beyond. She spends a significant amount of time out in the community learning about needs and communicating our message and mission. Leeanne is a Life Trustee.
Thomas Hushek, President
Thomas is a retired Nissan automotive executive. Since his retirement from Nissan in 2007, he has been involved in numerous community activities. He has served on the inaugural Patient Advisory Board of Edward Hospital in Naperville and currently volunteers with the Hospital's Hearts Alive Program. In addition, Thomas has assisted in fundraising with Naper Settlement and is currently on the School Board of St. Ethelreda's Catholic elementary school in Chicago. In addition to serving as Board President, Tom is an active volunteer at Sharing Connections collecting furniture for our clients.
Dennis Webb, Vice President
Dennis retired from Navistar in 2002 where he served as a Vice President & General Manager. He currently serves on multiple boards in the non-profit industry, among them St. Ethelreda School, West suburban Food Pantry and Lisle Education Foundation. Dennis has been an active Board Member with Sharing Connections since 2003 and also donates his time as a lead driver to pickup donations throughout the community.
Robert Kobliska, Treasurer
Bob retired from Century Tile in 2014, where he was their Controller and CFO. Prior to his position at Century Tile, he worked in income tax accounting at Caldwell, Coren & Company. He and his lovely wife Dana celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in June 2018, and enjoy a son, daughter, 4 grandsons, and one granddaughter.
Karyn Speckels, Secretary
Karyn is the Senior Vice President, Relationship Management at Inte Q, focusing on CRM and Loyalty Marketing in the retail, grocery, financial services, and healthcare industries. She holds a BS in Marketing from the Indiana University Kelly School of Business. She has volunteered extensively at St. Raphael Church in Naperville as a Religious Education (RE) teacher, serving as Chairman of the RE Commission for two years, and has been a donor to Sharing Connections for the past 30 years. Karyn joined the Board in December, 2016 and currently serves as Secretary.
Betsy D’Onofrio is the CRA Officer and Business Development Manager for Inland Home Mortgage. As a CRA officer, Betsy is responsible for making sure that Inland reinvests and lends in all communities, especially low to moderate income communities. Betsy has increased financial literacy in over 30 diverse communities. She creates awareness of down payment assistance programs and mortgage distress programs available to renters and homeowners. She creates and maintains relationships with consumers, municipalities, real estate brokers, home-ownership centers and chambers to increase financial literacy and awareness. She has trained consumers on low to moderate income programs and keeps track of the ever changing state and county home purchase grant programs. She is the liaison to 10 branch banks and has created joint ventures to promote financial literacy and community awareness.
Curt is the Associate General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Navistar International Corporation (NYSE: NAV), a holding company whose subsidiaries and affiliates produce International® brand commercial and military trucks, MaxxForce® brand diesel engines, IC Bus™ brand school and commercial buses, and Navistar RV brands of recreational vehicles. Prior to joining Navistar, he spent 7 years in private practice, primarily in Boston, Massachusetts and Stamford and Hartford, Connecticut. Curt received his B.B.A from the University of Miami, his J.D. from Quinnipiac University and his L.L.M. in Securities and Taxation from Georgetown University. Curt, his wife and 2 daughters live in Naperville, IL. Curt joined the Board in December 2012.
John is a Certified Public Accountant and partner of Cray, Kaiser Ltd. He has a BSC in Accounting from DePaul University and his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He has served a number of not-for-profit boards and is Treasurer of the Oak Brook Rotary Club, John and his wife have been involved in Sharing Connections for many years. John joined the board in June 2004 and was President of the board for six years.
Leslie joined the Board of Trustees during Summer 2018. She is the Chief Communications Officer for Argonne National Laboratory and is responsible for promoting and protecting the reputation of one of the country’s scientific powerhouses. She has spent more than 20 years working in communications and marketing for corporate giants Nielsen, Sara Lee Company, General Electric, and Accenture. Leslie holds a B.A. in American Studies from Notre Dame and an M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communication from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern. Originally from Pittsburgh she has now lived in the Chicago area longer than anywhere else in her life, and she enjoys introducing her two daughters to the rest of the world and discovering new ice cream places near and far.
Mr. Neustadt is President of Neuco, Inc. in Downers Grove. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Northern Illinois University. He is a member of the Heating, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) and serves as Chairman on the Controls Council Board. He volunteered at Sharing Connections with his children when they were young. Mr. Neustadt will bring his business management and finance skills to the Sharing Connections Board.
Rick owns Quick Impressions Group, a full-service printer located in Addison. He is the President of the Hillside-Berkeley Chamber of Commerce and supports many local charities, including Ronald McDonald House, A Silver Lining Foundation, Bryan Bickell Foundation, Magnificent Mutts Pet Rescue, the National Veterans Museum, and Operation Support Our Troops. Rick currently serves on the Board of DuPage PADS, and has served on the Board at Serenity House for several years.
